|NORTHERN COAST AND COUNTRYSIDE A contemporary photographic exhibition\n\nLocal photographic artist Kirstie Handley 38, has spent several years developing a specialism in photographing nature, following an early career in press photography and an honours degree in the subject.
“My love of photography is about being able to fully capture a moment, and directly transport it to the audience. I am particularly interested in how people are shaped by their natural surroundings. The rugged and dramatic beauty of the Northern England Coast and Countryside has a strong influence on the character, energy and strength of the people who live close to it, and is an inspiration to those who visit”.
This exhibition at Lockwoods Restaurant in North Street,Ripon is of work which Kirstie has created over the last few years whilst travelling across the North of England, soaking in the power of the land and sea scape .
Kirstie say’s “Lockwoods combines the best of traditional and contemporary side by side, in its ambience, service and food. As soon as you walk through the door you feel a refreshing sense of wellbeing. I am hoping that my images will inspire customers to fully enjoy the experience’.
